My seascape oil paintings

In my seascape oil paintings I give great importance to the sea, in this picture I used almost all the canvas to reproduce the depth of the blue.I like calm, transparent and peaceful seas. I live in Italy, in the Mediterranean Sea, I am lucky to lay down on one of the wonderful beaches we have. Recently I was in Sorrento and I made a tour to Positano, the beach of Ieranto, and other places in the Amalfi coast, beautiful! I like the emerald waters of Sardinia, I have never seen the wonderful colours of that sea, a lot of time ago I was in Spargi and Budelli, two little islands in Sardinia, and I saw a beach made of pink sand, incredible! I painted the blue sea of this seascape with ultramarine blue oil colour. I painted a bottom with a light blue, let it dry and then added coats of ultramarine blue deep. All the colours can be mixed with Liquin that helps the colours dry faster. I put a coat of colour and let it dry, then another coat and so on until I reached the result I wanted. Since the ultramarine blue is transparent it helped me create a bright sea. I added also veils of glaze of emerald green to make the sea more realistic. I like to create Mediterranean seascape paintings with clear, transparent waters and ultramarine blue deep helped me create this bright sea. After the colours dried I painted the ripples on the sea and added tiny points with white to reproduce the glint of the sun on the water.
